Dockers 2019 Grand Final raffle

The Dockers are holding the biggest Grand Final Raffle that Baltimore has ever seen!

The Dockers will hold their annual watch party for the Australian Football League’s Grand Final – the “Super Bowl of Australia” – on the evening of Friday September 27th. The Grand Final Party is the club’s biggest social event of the year, and it features our biggest fundraiser of the year: the Grand Final Raffle.

This year’s raffle is our biggest ever, featuring a grand prize of a $2,000 gift voucher for American Airlines – enough to buy a round-trip ticket to see the 2020 Grand Final live in Australia!

Tickets are available from any Dockers club member, and for the first time, we are selling the 2019 raffle tickets online.

Tickets are one for $5, three for $10, and eight for $20. When you buy tickets, you help the club raise money to travel to games and tournaments all over the U.S., buy uniforms and footballs, and host youth programs to build the future of Australian Rules Football in the U.S.

The prizes are:

  • First prize: a $2,000 travel voucher on American Airlines
  • Second prize: a $1,000 travel voucher on American Airlines
  • Third prize: a $500 gift card from Amazon.com

The prize drawings will be held at the Dockers 2019 Grand Final Party on the night of September 27, 2019. You do not have to be present to win.

You can buy tickets in person from any club member, or online using the form below. If you are buying online and you would like your favorite Dockers club member to get credit for the sale, fill in his or her name in the form below.

Thank you for your support of Australian Rules Football in Baltimore and beyond!

Dockers win in Maine

Another weekend, another chance for the #DockShow to continue its stellar 2019 season! A matchup with the Maine Cats beckoned, as the Dockers became Maines first ever home game.

Conditions could not have been better, even if some Dockers were weighed down from copious amounts of Lobster rolls. The first quarter was a see saw affair, with the Dockers and Cats trading goals until a couple late snags from Docker veteran, Kit Drury, helped the Dockers go into the first change with a three-goal lead. The Dockers midfield was prolific as always, with Champions Data rating it the second-best midfield behind the talented Collingwood Magpies earlier in the season. Nick Tyson and Nick Sisca had a case of leather poisoning, and they more than made up for the speedy Cats midfield.

The second and third quarter were some of the Dockers’ best this season. Mike Gilbert, aka Mad Dog, aka The Enforcer, and Terence McAuliffe were stone walls in the back line, punching forward entries away with ease and making a case for All-American honors. Ryan Daudelin clinched Mark of the Year with an absolute screamer from the lace out delivery of Nick Tyson.

The fourth quarter went quickly as the Dockers continued to rain goals on the Cats defense. Valon Kaf booted 6 majors for the match, with a sublime snap from the boundary many calling the wonder goal of the season. All in all, it was another stand out performance from the Baltimore Dockers against an up-and-coming Maine Cats, eventually taking out the match by the score of 15.8.98 to 5.3.33.
