Join us on Saturday, September 25th for the biggest night in Australia, and the biggest social event of the year for your Baltimore Dockers!
We will meet at 11:30 AM ET at our sponsor bar, Magerks Federal Hill in Baltimore, to watch the 2021 Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final, the season championship game of the highest-level professional league in Australia. The Grand Final is like the Super Bowl of Australia, but even bigger. Crowds at the stadium on game day often exceed 100,000, and more than eight million people – nearly a third of the entire population of Australia – watches live on TV.
We will watch this year’s Grand Final almost live from Perth, Australia! (Technically the game is at 5:15 AM ET, but we are not morning people.)

This year’s game features the Melbourne Demons against the Western Bulldogs, two teams from the metro area of Melbourne, the birthplace of Australian Rules Football. Both have rich traditions, but little recent success (except in 2016, when the Bulldogs went on a magical postseason run to win the Grand Final).

Here in Baltimore, our Grand Final Party is a great way to meet other people interested in the amazing, insane sport of Australian Rules Football. The event starts at 11:30 AM ET. The game replay will start around noon ET, and the event should end around 5 PM ET.
The event will feature a 50/50 fundraising raffle to predict the first goal scorer and the winner of the Norm Smith Medal for the most valuable player of the game, with a cash prize. (Since the game is tape delayed, please, no spoilers.)
