Anzac Day 2023: Dockers 49 Philadelphia 39

The Dockers open the 2023 season with a win!

Last Saturday, Baltimore’s own Australian rules football team celebrated Anzac Day (Australia’s Memorial Day) with a game against our rivals and friends, the Philadelphia Hawks. After a close battle, the score was tied at the half. The Dockers then pulled away in the second and withstood two late goals to win, 49 to 39.

The two teams then celebrated with a BBQ after the game. Congratulations to Ricky Kneebone and Basil Benjamin on their first game with the Dockers (and Basil kicked a goal!).
