Last Saturday, the Baltimore Dockers returned to official U.S. Australian Football League (USAFL) competition for the first time since the 2019 USAFL Division 2 Grand Final.
The Dockers played host to round 1 of the 2021 season, which played out as a round-robin series featuring the Dockers, the DC Eagles, and the Philadelphia Hawks at Baltimore’s Patterson Park.
In game 1, the Dockers fought bravely but fell to the Eagles by the score of 57-9.
In game 2, the Eagles women’s team defeated the Hawks women’s team, 45-15.
In game 3, the Dockers came back for a convincing win over the Hawks, 73-26.
Game 4 between the Eagles’ and Hawks’ men’s teams was cancelled due to severe thunderstorms.
The rematch will be in two weeks: Saturday, July 31, 2021 at West Potomac Park in Washington, DC, starting at 11 AM.
